I have owned a home elevator in Greater Kailash-II for four years. I have had two different service providers during that time. Here is what I have learned about what good elevator service actually looks like and where most companies in Delhi fall short. What poor service responsiveness looks like: • Calling the service line and reaching voicemail or a number that rings out. • Being told the technician will visit 'within 3–5 working days' for a non-emergency complaint. • Receiving a technician who has not reviewed the elevator's history or service log before arrival. • Being sold a part replacement that the technician cannot demonstrate was actually needed. What genuine service responsiveness looks like: • A dedicated service contact not a generic call center who knows your elevator model and history. • Response within 4 hours for priority issues, same day for standard breakdowns. • Technicians who arrive with parts- not just tools because they reviewed the fault before traveling. • A digital service log accessible to the homeowner- so you know exactly what was done and when. After switching to Attico Elevators' AMC program 18 months ago, the difference has been significant. Their service team uses a WhatsApp-based update system, their technicians arrive with a printed fault history for my specific elevator, and I have never waited more than 6 hours for a callback on any service request.
